Years ago I decided to become the global evangelist for the strengths movement.
I worked for Gallup in Washington, DC from 2012-2017. I got to know dozens of top Gallup strength experts and hundreds of the best strengths coaches in the world.
Since that time, I've spread the strengths message to audiences, large and small, in hundreds of locations.
My wife Christy became a Gallup Certified Strengths coach.
All 8 of my kids know their strengths and talk about them with each other (and their friends) all the time.
Like Graham Weston, former Chairman of Rackspace, I want to get to the point in my life where I don't know anyone who doesn't know their strengths.
I genuinely love the pioneering work of Don Clifton, acknowledged by the American Psychological Association as the "father of strengths psychology and the grandfather of positive psychology."
He spent more than 50 years of his life studying what is right with people--not what is wrong with them.
His work to create a taxonomy of human talents and an online assessment to help anyone discover their "signature strengths" has the potential to change the pace of human development around the world.
To me, strengths is about seeing the value that is inherent in every human being--the greatest of all creations.
Peter Drucker said if you ask the average American what their strengths are, they'll answer with a blank stare or answer in terms of subject knowledge--which is not the right answer.
One reason I'm a strengths evangelist is that I think it can play a role in reducing deaths of despair. If people find out what they were born to be, what they were designed to do, and can find joy in doing that, then they'll be less likely to want to escape life.
Another reason I'm a strengths evangelist is that I believe a focus on strengths is the best way to accomplish Dr. King's vision of a country (or world!) that judges people based on the content of their character and not on the color of their skin.
I've seen a huge impact on diversity & inclusion from a strengths-based approach.
I've seen relationships improved. I've seen ex-offenders rehabilitated. I've seen "average" employees become exceptional by finding a different role--one that fits their strengths.
I've seen leaders and organizations go from good to great.
I've seen companies grow by billions of dollars in value by being strengths-based organizations.
I've seen the future. But it's not very evenly distributed.
And I want to spread this positive future to more cities, states, and countries.

In just four years since becoming certified, she has partnered with over 1,300 people and 50 organizations in discovering their strengths through the CliftonStrengths assessment. She is currently one of only approximately 150 individuals around the globe trained by Gallup to lead a new world-class CliftonStrengths Discovery course and is excited to deliver this top notch material to those in the beginning stages of their strengths journey!
Traci is passionate about improving employee engagement levels within organizations and helping individuals live their legacy. Her 15+ years of work experience includes HR and organization development consulting, career coaching, and training delivery. She has consulted across numerous industries and delivered training for organizations such as such as Accenture, John Deere, Kum & Go, Marvin Windows, and ACT. Additionally, she has teamed with the C-Suites and Senior Leader Executives in various sized organizations, up to companies with 5,000 employees, in conducting leadership workshops anchored in strengths based development.
In addition to her work as a strengths and engagement consultant, Traci is a cancer survivor. Diagnosed with breast cancer in May of 2017, she walked the walk and put her strengths to use as she battled and beat cancer. She is driven to help other cancer patients play to their strengths and healthcare practitioners and caregivers give their very best each day. She is looking for opportunities to partner with cancer organizations, breast cancer focused initiatives, cancer survivors, and healthcare organizations to deliver powerful strengths based presentations and keynote sessions.
Traci is a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and earned her B.B.A. in Management and Organizations from The University of Iowa and her M.S. in Counseling Psychology from The University of Kansas. Patti Seda is the owner of Seda Consulting, a business she started in 2016 after 25+ years as a human resource executive. Patti’s passion is helping individuals and teams reach their full potential through organizational design and coaching. She specializes in succession planning and is certified in MPO Personality Profile and EQi 2.0 Emotional Intelligence Assessments and Training.
Patti is married, the mother of three adult children, and grandmother to 2 adorable granddaughters. In 2008, she started a summer youth camp to inspire middle school students to be community leaders. While she established a strong work ethic growing up on a farm in rural Iowa, she has spent her adult life in business and coaching people to be successful beyond what they believe is possible.
Dr. Bill Withers has over two decades of management and leadership experience in both business and education, and he is a two-time presenter at the International Conference on Business in Honolulu, which is where he fell in love with his “Aloha shirts!”
Bill has both studied and served organizations such as Proctor & Gamble, Ritz-Carlton, Disney, Four Seasons, Starbucks, and Southwest Airlines, and he was a contributing writer to three books in the areas of leadership and customer service.
After an early career working in the media and marketing business, Bill served 20 years as a professor and Leadership Fellow at Wartburg College in Northeast Iowa. He’s currently serving on the executive-leadership team for Lutheran Church of Hope in West Des Moines, the largest church of its type in North America.
Dr. Withers continues to specialize in the areas of public relations, customer service, organizational change, and leadership.
Heather L. Woody is a Master Certified Coach that teams with individuals personally and professionally to help them experience their greatness. She has a passion for working with people in organizations as they pursue their key goals and objectives while also building a fulfilling career and personal life. Heather is sought for her contagious energy, her ability to quickly zero in on the powerful components of a situation, flesh them out and help her clients uncover an approach that leads them to success. Heather has a strength for connecting people in their working and personal relationships in order to create flow, understanding and best outcomes. She wants for her clients to experience the changes and enhancements in their lives that open doors wide to real success.

She is also an accomplished collegiate athlete and All-American in track and field at Simpson College and the University of Northern Iowa. Prior to coaching, she worked in marketing, public relations and sales. She resides in Iowa with her husband Joey, her son Drake and daughter Isabelle.
Dr. Brian Davidson is the founder and president of the Intrinsic Institute. As chief architect of the Intrinsic ProfileTM assessment, Dr. Davidson applies his work to help educational institutions, sports teams, and businesses across the world. Prior to founding the Intrinsic Institute, he motivated and empowered individuals as an educator, teaching at both the high school and university level. It was through the studying of over a thousand students and educational leaders that he began to formulate, research, and create his novel theory of human excellence. His groundbreaking research and work has been featured and shared across the world - from the halls of the Ivy League to schools throughout India. Dr. Davidson graduated Phi Beta Kappa from The University of Iowa with High Distinction and Honors, earning a degree in psychology and a teaching endorsement in secondary education. He holds a Master’s degree in counseling psychology and a Doctorate (with Honors) in educational leadership and policy studies, both from The University of Kansas, where he continues to serve as a senior research consultant and adjunct professor. He and his family currently reside in Olathe, Kansas.

He served as trusted advisor to numerous CHRO's in Fortune 100 companies, along with other C-Suite Executives focused on employee engagement, leadership development, selection science, and other aspects of Talent Management. Often, he led talent strategy related to rapid growth, mergers and acquisition, and workplace transformation.
Clint has been a volunteer leader for several years on the Arizona SHRM State Council, and is a frequent presenter for HR audiences around the world.
